Transport of passengers in the second quarter of 2018, compared to the same quarter of the previous year increased in rail transport for 9.9%, road transport by 2.0%, local road for 4.4%, the carriage of passengers at airports by 13.9 %, scheduled air transport for 14.5% and non scheduled air for 78.8%.
The transport of goods in the second quarter of 2018, compared to the same quarter last year decreased on the total turnover of goods in ports by 4.4%, rail transport for 42.9%, while in transport of goods on the airports increased by 12.4%.
Number of trans-shipment tonnes in the ports in the second quarter of 2018, compared to the same quarter of the previous year decreased by 8.7%, in the manipulated tonnes by 7.7%.
Number of minutes in fixed telecommunication in the second quarter of 2018 compared to the same quarter of the previous year decreased by 15.3% at the minutes of mobile telephony increase by 4.4%.
Total number of injury accidents1 on roads in the second quarter 2018 totaled 1 436 which is 2.8% less than the same quarter of the 2017. Number of casualies2 in the second quarter 2018 amounted to 618 (of which 609 injuries), which is 14.8% less than the same quarter 2017.
Number of registered road motor vehicles and trailers in the second quarter 2018 is 65 244 which is a increase of 5.9% in comparison with the same quarter of previous year. In the second quarter of 2018 road goods motor vehicles transported a 202 thousands tons of goods and performed 18 251 thousand tonne-kilometers. Kilometres travelled by loaded vehicles was 881 thousands kilometres. In the structure of transported goods, national transport participates with 92.1% or 186 thousands tons of goods, while international transport participates with 7.9%, or 16 thousands tons of goods. In the structure of performed tonne-kilometers internal transport participates with 66.6% or 12 151 thousands tonne-kilometers and international transport with 33.4% or 6 100 thousands tonne-kilometers.
