Quarterly statistics of transport I quarter 2019

Transport of passengers in the first quarter of 2019, compared to the same quarter of the previous year increased in rail transport for 1.1%, road transport by 0.5%, local road for 2.1%, the carriage of passengers at airports by 6.4%, scheduled air transport for 6.0% and non scheduled air for 23.2%.
 
The transport of goods in the first quarter of 2019, compared to the same quarter last year decreased on the rail transport for 24.7% and total turnover of goods in ports by 13.6% while increase registered in transport of goods on the airports by 9.2%.
 
Number of trans-shipment tonnes in the ports in the first quarter of 2019, compared to the same quarter of the previous year decreased by 12.0%, while increase registered in the manipulated tonnes by 7.3%.
 
Number of minutes in fixed telecommunication in the first quarter of 2019 compared to the same quarter of the previous year decreased by 18.6% at the minutes of mobile telephony increase by 1.1%.
 
Total number of injury accidents1 on roads in the first quarter 2019 totaled 1 207 which is 2.2% more than the same quarter of the 2018. Number of casualies2 in the first quarter 2019 amounted to 490 (of which 483 injuries), which is 2.0% less than the same quarter 2018.
 
Number of registered road motor vehicles and trailers in the first quarter 2019 is 49 025 which is a increase of 6.6% in comparison with the same quarter of previous year. Number of first time registered road motor vehicles and trailers3 in the first quarter 2019 is 5 060 which is a increase of 0.3% in comparison with the same quater of previous year.

In the first quarter of 2019 road goods motor vehicles transported a 209 thousands tons of goods and performed 22 090 thousand tonne-kilometers. Kilometres travelled by loaded vehicles was 927 thousands kilometres. In the structure of transported goods, national transport participates with 92.8% or 194 thousands tons of goods, while international transport participates with 7.2%, or 15 thousands tons of goods. In the structure of performed tonne-kilometers internal transport participates with 68.6% or 15 149 thousands tonne-kilometers and international transport with 31.4% or 6 941 thousands tonne-kilometers.
