The total external trade in goods of Montenegro for period January – April 2019 according to preliminary results is 890.4 million EUR, indicating the growth of 4.5% in comparison with the same period for previous year.

The value of exports of goods was 125.2 million EUR, and import was 765,1 million EUR. Compared with the same period of 2018, exports decreased 3.3%, and imports increased 5.8%.

The coverage of import by export was 16.4% and it was lower compared to the coverage for the same period of previous year (17.9%).

In the structure of exports, in accordance with the Standard International Trade Classification (SITC), the most present products were Manufactured goods classified chiefly by material (Section 6), in amount of 33.7 million EUR (consisted of: Non-ferrous metals – 21.7 million EUR, Iron and steel – 7.9 million EUR and other).
