Transport of passengers in the second quarter of 2019, compared to the same quarter of the previous year increased in road transport by 1.7%, local road for 3.8%, the carriage of passengers at airports by 9.5%, scheduled air transport for 7.5% and non scheduled air for 11.5%, while decreased in rail transport for 0.8%.
The transport of goods in the second quarter of 2019, compared to the same quarter last year increased on the total turnover of goods in ports by 19.8%, rail transport for 36.9%, while in transport of goods on the airports decreased by 13.8%.
Number of trans-shipment tonnes in the ports in the second quarter of 2019, compared to the same quarter of the previous year increased by 14.1%, in the manipulated tonnes by 41.3%.
Number of minutes in fixed telecommunication in the second quarter of 2019 compared to the same quarter of the previous year decreased by 22.9% at the minutes of mobile telephony by 1.5%.
Total number of injury accidents1 on roads in the second quarter 2019 totaled 1 527 which is 6.3% more than the same quarter of the 2018. Number of casualies2 in the second quarter 2019 amounted to 732 (of which 718 injuries), which is 18.4% more than the same quarter 2018.
Number of registered road motor vehicles and trailers in the second quarter 2019 is 69 213 which is a increase of 6.1% in comparison with the same quarter of previous year. Number of first time registered road motor vehicles and trailers3 in the second quarter 2019 is 7 110 which is a decrease of 6.1% in comparison with the same quater of previous year.
In the second quarter of 2019 road goods motor vehicles transported a 226 thousands tons of goods and performed 18 460 thousand tonne-kilometers. Kilometres travelled by loaded vehicles was 913 thousands kilometres. In the structure of transported goods, national transport participates with 94.2% or 213 thousands tons of goods, while international transport participates with 5.8%, or 13 thousands tons of goods. In the structure of performed tonne-kilometers internal transport participates with 67.3% or 12 415 thousands tonne-kilometers and international transport with 32.7% or 6 045 thousands tonne-kilometers.
