Utilized agricultural land in 2021 is 255 564.4 ha, what is an decreased of 0.9% compared to 2020. In total utilized agricultural land areas, perennial meadows and pastures areas prevail with the share of 94.3%, while arable land are present with 2.7%, permanent crops 2.2% and kitchen gardens 0.8%. In comparison with 2020, perennial meadows and pastures area decreased by 0.9%, arable land by 2.4%, permanent crops by 0.2% and kitchen garden 1.1%.

Total production of maize for grain in 2021 was 2 631.4 t, what is a rise of 3.3% compared to 2020. An increase in production was also recorded in the following crops: onion (1.4%), tomato (1.0%), cucumber (2.2%), watermelon (9.3%) and melon (11.1%).

Compared to 2020, an increase is recorded in total production of: plums (5.0%), apples (5.8%), pears (2.0%), peaches (2.1%) and olives (26.3%), while there was recorded lower production of mandarins (4.0%).

Total production of grapes in 2021 records an increase by 7.5% in comparison with previous year.
