Quarterly statistics of transport - II quarter 2022.

Transport of passengers in the second quarter of 2022 compared to the same quarter of the previous year increased in rail transport for 58.5%, road transport by 89.7%, local road for 7.3%, passenger transport at airports 129.6%.
The transport of goods in the second quarter of 2022 compared to the same quarter last year increased in the rail transport by 97.3%, in the total turnover of goods in ports by 40.9%, while in transport of goods at airports decreased by 21.8%.
Number of trans-shipment tonnes in the ports in the second quarter of 2022 compared to the same quarter of the previous year increased by 38.9%, in the manipulated tonnes by 58.4%.
Total number of injury accidents1 on roads in the second quarter 2022 totaled 1 454 a which is 2.7% less than the same quarter of previous year. Number of casualies2 in the second quarter 2022 amounted to 790 (of which 776 injuries), which is 5.5% less than the same quarter of previous year.
Number of registered road motor vehicles and trailers in the second quarter 2022 is 71 771 which is an increase of 7.3% in comparison with the same quarter of previous year. Number of first time registered road motor vehicles and trailers3 in the second quarter 2022 is 6 653 which is an increase of 46.6% in comparison with the same quarter of previous year.
In the second quarter of 2022 road goods motor vehicles transported a 238 thousands tons of goods and performed 29 507 thousand tonne-kilometers. Kilometres travelled by loaded vehicles was 1 437 thousands kilometres. In the structure of transported goods national transport participates with 91.6% or 218 thousands tons of goods. while international transport participates with 8.4%, or 20 thousands tons of goods. In the structure of performed tonne-kilometers internal transport participates with 71.0% or 20 964 thousands tonne-kilometers and international transport with 29.0% or 8 543 thousands tonne-kilometers.
