Entrance of row cow's milk and obtained products into the dairies
The total quantity of purchased cow's milk, by dairy farmers in the territory of Montenegro, in the fourth quarter of 2023 is 6 711 280 kg, and shows an increase of 3.1% compared to the same quarter of 2022.
The average milk fat content in the fourth quarter of 2023, compared to the fourth quarter of 2022, recorded an increase of 4.3%, while the average protein content recorded an increase of 0.9%.
In the fourth quarter of 2023, compared to the same quarter of 2022, an increase in the production of cheese (by 27.1%), traditional butter (by 10.3%) and other yellow-fat products (by 11.5%), while a decline was recorded in the production of drinking milk (by 22.3%), cream (by 22.4%) and fermented milk products (by 6.7%).
