Population by Computer Literacy
Data in this Release are related to the number and the structure of population according to computer literacy.
Computer literacy is defined as possibility of using basic computer applications for performing every day tasks. Related to that there are collected data in knowledge of software applications word and excel, as well internet and electronic mail. In addition to the mentioned software applications, data on knowledge of social networks and knowledge of programming were also collected.
Response was collected based on declaration of person.
Computer literacy is presented for population aged 15 and over.
From total number of population aged 15 and over, 49.84% is computer literate and 37.03% are persons who are partially literate, 12.90% are not computer literate, while 0.23% did not answer on this question.
Gender structure shows that there is equal number of computer literate women and men.
Observing by municipalities the biggest percentage of computer literate population is in Budva 67.48%, Tivat 63.18%, and Podgorica 60.81%, and the least is in Petnjica where only 17.34% of population is computer literate and than in Gusinje 23.17% and Pluzine 27.36%.
Computer literacy is higher among younger population and that it declines evenly with the increase of age.
