In Montenegro, the number of bovines was 84 701 in 2012, of which 61 934 heads are cows and in calf heifers, i.e. 73%. The total number of breeding ewes, i.e. 169 295 makes 81% in the total number of sheep in all categories, while the total number of goats of all categories is 23 273. Of the total number of 23 273 pigs, sows and sows of the first farrow are 8%. The number of horses is 3 905.
