Monthly deflation in June was -0.6%, while the annual inflation down to 2.2%
Monthly deflation measured by Consumer price index was -0.6% in June, while annual inflation down to +2.2%. This was influenced mostly by the decrease in prices of vegetables; solid fuels, garments; milk, cheese and eggs; meat; olis and fats.
When observing the main groups monthly drop of prices was noticed in the following groups: Clothing and footwear (-1.8%); Housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels (-1.3%); Food and non-alcoholic beverages (-1.0%); Furnishing, household equipment and routine household maintenance (-0.5%); Alcoholic beverages and tobacco (-0.2%); Recreation and culture (-0.1%); while a growth of prices is recorded in groups: Restaurants and hotels (+1.4%); Miscellaneous goods and services (+1.2%); Transport (+0.2%). Prices in the groups: Health; Communications; Education remain at the same level as in the previous month.
Positive annual inflation rates in June were observed in the following groups: Food and non-alcoholic beverages (+4.5%); Housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels (+3.4%); Miscellaneous goods and services (+2.7%); Alcoholic beverages and tobacco (+2.3%); Health (+2.0%); Communications (+2.0%); Education (+0.2%), while negative annual inflation rates were observed in the following groups: Hotels and restaurants (-3.1%); Transport (-1.5%); Furnishing, household equipment and routine household maintenance (-1.4%); Clothing and footwear (-0.7%); Recreation and culture (-0.3%).
