The volume of water abstracted from business entities that manage public water supply and sewage in Montenegro in 2014 compared to 2011 increased by 0.8%. Volume of water by businesses that manage public water supply and public sewage system in 2014 amounted to 110 301 000 m3. Water is mainly abstracted from groundwater and spring water 80.6%, 1.8% is abstracted from surface water, while 17.6% of the total volume of water abstracted is from other water supply systems.

In 2014 water distributed in Montenegro amounted to 45 462 000 m3, which is 8.5% less than in 2011. Water losses in Montenegro in 2014 compared to 2011, increased by 8.5% and amounted to 64 839 000 m3.
Length of public water supply in 2014 amounted to 4 592 km.

The total amount of wastewater from settlements in Montenegro in 2014 amounted to 31 029 000 m3. Compared with the 2011 it increased by 1.7%. The amount of treated wastewater in 2014 increased by 9.7% compared to 2011, while the amount of untreated wastewater decreased by 1.4%.

Length of public sewage system in Montenegro in 2014 amounted to 1 090 km.
