This release contains data received through the Labour Force Survey conducted in the first quarter 2015 and the observation period was from January to March 2015. The surveying was done in 1 996 households on the territory of Montenegro. The survey collected data about demographic characteristics for members of the households (6 210 persons were surveyed), and data about economic activity for persons aged 15 and more (5 137 persons, which makes 1.2% of the total number of interwied persons aged 15 and more).

According to data for first quarter in the 2015 labor force in Montenegro consist of 257.7 thousands of active population. From that number there were: 210.9 thousands persons in employment or 81.8%; unemployed 46.8 thousands or 18.2%. The number of persons in employment in comparison with the previous quarter has decreased 2.2% and the number of unemployed has i decreased 1.7%.

The activity rate for the first quarter 2015 is 51.5%, the employment rate is 42.1% and unemployment rate is 18.2%.

Measures of the activity of the population for 15-64 age group are: the activity rate is 60.2%, the employment rate is 49.1% and the unemployment rate is 18.4%.
