This release contains data received through the Labour Force Survey conducted in the third quarter 2015, and the observation period was from July to September 2015. The surveying was done in 2 102 households on the territory of Montenegro. The survey collected data about demographic characteristics for members of the households (6 521 persons were surveyed), and data about economic activity for persons aged 15 and more (5 454 persons, which makes 1.2% of the total number of persons aged 15 and more).

According to data for third quarter in the 2015 labor force in Montenegro consist of 275.5 thousands of active population. From that number there were: 229.9 thousand employees and 45.5 thousands unemployed. The number of employees in comparison with the previous quarter has increased 1.7% and  the number of unemployed has decreased 6.4%. The activity rate for the third quarter 2015 is 55.0%, the employment rate is 45.9% and unemployment rate is 16.5%. Measures of the activity of the population for 15-64 age group are: the activity rate is 63.9%, the employment rate is 53.1% and the unemployment rate is 16.8%.
