Harmonised Index of Consumer Prices (HICP) June 2016

Monthly inflation in June 2016 mesaured by HICP was 0.7%
 
Consumer prices in Montenegro, measured by HICP, in June 2016 increased by 0,7% at the average as compared to May 2016. Consumer prices in June 2016 decreased by 0,6%, as compared to June 2015. This was influenced mostly by increase in prices of: accommodation services; fuels and lubricants for personal transport equipment; fruit; fish and seafood; other appliances, articles and products for personal care.
 
Observing the main groups, monthly growth of prices was noticed in the following groups: Restaurants and hotels (4.8%); Transport (1.8%); Miscellaneous goods and services (0.3%); Alcoholic beverages and tobacco (0.1%), while a monthly drop of prices was recorded in groups: Clothing and footwear (-0.7%); Food and non-alcoholic beverages (-0.4%); Housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels (-0.4%); Furnishing, household equipment and routine household maintenance (-0.3%); Recreation and culture (-0.3%). 
 
Prices of other products and services mostly remained unchanged.
 

Positive annual inflation rates in June 2016 were observed in the following groups: Clothing and footwear (2.8%); Alcoholic beverages and tobacco (2.3%); Health (2.0%); Restaurants and Hotels (1.2%); Communications (0.5%), while negative annual inflation rates were observed in the following groups: Transport (-6.2%); Miscellaneous goods and services (-1.3%); Food and non-alcoholic beverages (-1.2%); Housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels (-1.1%); Furnishing, household equipment and routine household maintenance (-1.0%); Recreation and culture (-0.3%).
