Quarterly statistics of transport II quarter 2016

Transport of passengers in the second quarter of 2016, compared to the same quarter of the previous year increased to road transport by 0.6%, local road for 9.1%, the carriage of passengers at airports by 11.5 % and scheduled air transport for 3.7%, while the decrease registered in rail transport for 8.2%, non scheduled air for 61.2% and at maritime by 32.2%.
 
The transport of goods in the second quarter of 2016, compared to the same quarter last year increase was recorded in transport of goods in the airports for 3.8%, while the decrease registered in the railway for 10.1%, the total turnover of goods in ports by 4.2%, and in maritime by 40.7%.
 
Number of trans-shipment tonnes in the ports in the second quarter of 2016, compared to the same quarter of the previous year decreased by 22.4%, at the manipulated tonnes by 16.5%.
 
Number of minutes in fixed telecommunication in the second quarter of 2016 compared to the same quarter of the previous year decreased by 18.1%, while minutes of mobile telephony increased by 3.0%
 
Number of injury accidents on roads in the second quarter 2016 totaled 1 207 which is 6.1% more than the same quarter of the 2015. Number of casualies1in the second quarter 2016 amounted to 612 (of which 602 injuries), which is 15.0% more than the same quarter 2015.
 
Number of registered road motor vehicles and trailers in the second quarter 2016 is 56 228, which is a increase of 4.6% in comparison with the same quarter of previous year. Number of first time registered road motor vehicles and trailers in the second quarter 2016 is 5 497, which is a increase of 20.5% in comparison with the same quater of previous year.
 

In the second quarter of 2016. road goods motor vehicles transported a 177 thousands tons of goods and performed 25 382 thousand tonne-kilometers. Kilometres travelled by loaded vehicles was 1 213 thousands kilometres. In the structure of transported goods, national transport participates with 88,7% or 157 thousands tons of goods, while international transport participates with 11.3%, or 20 thousands tons of goods. In the structure of performed tonne-kilometers internal transport participates with 54,7% or 13 889 thousands tonne-kilometers and international transport with 45.3% or 11 493 thousands tonne-kilometers.
