Total foreign trade exchange of Montenegro for period January- May 2011 according to preliminary data was EUR 837.6 million which shows increase of 19% comparing to the same period of previous year.
Good exported valued up to EUR 180.5 million , that is more for 53.2 % comparing to the same period of previous year and it was imported in value of EUR 657.1 million euros that is more for 12.2 % comparing to the same period of previous year.
The coverage of the export by import was 27.5 %and it is bigger comparing to coverage in the same period of previous year when it was 20.1%.
In the structure of export according to SITC there are represented the most Products classified by material from Sector 6 ,in the amount of EUR 88.2 million (which is consisted of Non-ferrous metals in the amount of EUR 82.9 million of and Iron and steel in the amount of EUR 2.5 million).
In the structure of import according to SITC there are represented the most products from Sector 0 – Food and live animals in the amount of EUR 127 million which is consisted of, meat and fabricated met in the amount of EUR 26.6 million and cereals and cereal products in the amount of EUR 22.4 million).
In export, main foreign trade partner, individually were: Serbia (EUR 36.8 million), Hungary (EUR 36.5 million ) and Greece (EUR 30.7 million).
In import, main foreign trade partner, individually were: Serbia (EUR 180.5 million), Greece (EUR 53.7million ) and Bosnia and Herzegovina (EUR 49.8 8 million). Foreign trade exchange was biggest with the countries subscribers of CEFTA agreement and European Union.
