In May 2011, tourists realised 77 967 arrivals, which is 1,5 %% less  than in May 2010. Tourists made  371 486  overnight stays, which is 1,7 % less  than in May 2010.

Overnights stays of domestic tourists represented 18,2 %, while the foreign tourists represented 81,8 % of all overnight stays in May    2011.

In the first five months of this year tourists realised 160 077 arrivals, which is 4,2% more compared to the same period last year and 671 300 overnight stays, which is 1 % more compared to the same period last year. Number of overnight stays of domestic tourists increased by 9,6 %, while the number of overnight stays of foreign tourists decreased by 1,8%.

Concerning the structure of foreign tourists overnights stays,in April 2011, the most of them were realised by tourists from Russia  ( 15,1 %), Serbia (13,7%),Bosnia and Herzegovina ( 8,1%), France (7,0%), Kosovo (6,1%),Great Britain (3,4%) and other countries.

Concerning the structure of overnight stays by type of resorts, the most of them were realised in seaside resorts (94,4%),  in capital city ( 2,4 %), other touristic resorts (1,8 %) ,than in mountain resorts  and other resorts.
