In Montenegro, in June 2011, tourists realised 137 576 arrivals, which is 13.4% higher comparing to June 2010, while number of overnight stays was 897 516, higher by 11.2 %. From that 9.4 % were domestic and 90.6 % foreign tourists.

In the first six months of 2011 tourists realised 297 653 arrivals, which is increase by 8.3 % compared to the same period last year .Tourists realised   1 568 816 overnight stays, which is 6.4% higher compared to the same period last year. Number of over night stays of domestic tourists increased by 2.4 %, while the number of arrivals of foreign tourists increased by 7.1%.

Concerning the structure of foreign tourists overnights stays, the most of them were realised by tourists from Russia (29.5%), Serbia (21.4%), Bosnia and Herzegovina (7.1%), Ukraine (3.8%), Poland (2.9%), Kosovo  (2,8%) and other countries.

Concerning the structure of overnight stays by type of resorts, the most of them were realised in seaside resorts (96.9%), in capital city (1.0%), mountain resorts (1.3%) than in other tourist resorts and other resorts.
