Utilized agricultural land in 2017 is 256 361.2 ha, what is an increase of 0.2% compared to 2016. In total utilized agricultural land areas, perennial meadows and pastures areas prevail with the share of 94.3%, while arable land are present with 2.8%, permanent crops 2.1% and kitchen gardens 0.8%. In comparison with 2016, perennial meadows and pastures area increased by 0.2%, arable land increased by 0.8% and kitchen garden increased by 4.2%, while permanent crops decreased by 0.3%.

 

Achieved wheat production in 2017 was 2 462.5 t, what is a rise of 4.6% compared to 2016.

 

An increase in production was also recorded in the following crops: ray (7.6%), maize of grain (2.2%), tomato (6.8%), watermelon (0.7%) and cabbage (1.5%). Total production of potato in 2017 reduced by 7.3%. There is also recorded lower production of pepper by 2.9%.
