In secondary schools in Montenegro at the beginning of school year 2010/2011 there were 32 126 enrolment of pupils; of those 49% are women.
The number of pupils enrolled in secondary schools increased 2% compared with the previous school year, while the number of pupils enrolled in the first grade of school is higher for 4%.
The highest number of secondary school pupils is in Podgorica - 10 000 or 31%, while there are 323 or 1% of the total number of secondary school pupils in Savnik, Pluzine, and Zabljak.
Observing the field of study, there are 10 332 pupils or 32% in gymnasium; economy, law, and administration 5 199 or 16%; trade, hotels, and tourism 4 936 or 15%; while other fields of study makes 37%.
