In academic year 2020/2021, at the higher education institutions in Montenegro, there were 4 297 students enrolled at postgraduate studies and doctoral studies.

There were 4 196 students enrolled at postgraduate studies, as follows: 2 297 at specialist studies, 1 899 at master studies. Among total number of students share of females is 58.8% and share of males is 41.2%.

Decrease in number of students enrolled at specialist studies in comparison with previous academic year is 27.6%. Of the total number of students enrolled in specialist studies, 1 709 or 74.4% were in public higher education institutions, while 588 or 25.6% were enrolled in private higher education institutions.
