The total external trade in goods of Montenegro for January – November 2022 according to preliminary results is 3 865.7 million EUR, indicating the growth of 46.0% in comparison with the same period of the previous year.

The value of exports of goods was 623.5 million EUR, and import was 3 242.2 million EUR. Compared to the same period last year, exports increased by 64.7%, while imports increased by 42.9%.

The coverage of import by export was 19.2% and it was higher compared to the coverage for the same period of the previous year when it was 16.7%.

In the structure of exports, in accordance with the Standard International Trade Classification (SITC), the most present products were Manufactured goods classified chiefly by material (Section 6), in amount of 186.1 million EUR (consisted of Non-ferrous metals – 160.8 million EUR and other).

In the structure of imports, in accordance with the SITC, the most present products were Machinery and transport equipment (Section 7) with 639.8 million EUR (consisted of: Road vehicles – 201.7 million EUR, Electrical machinery, apparatus and appliances – 130.1 million EUR and other).

Main trading partners in exports on an individual basis were: Serbia (129.2 million EUR), Switzerland (106.1 million EUR) and Bosnia and Herzegovina (79.9 million EUR).

Main trading partners in imports on an individual basis were: Serbia (561.4 million EUR), China (302.0 million EUR) and Greece (268.8 million EUR). The highest external trade was with CEFTA parties and the EU member states.
