Consumer price indices
Prices of goods and services for personal consumption, measured by consumer price index, in December 2022, as compared to November 2022, increased by 0.1% on average. Consumer prices in December 2022, as compared to December 2021, increased by 17.2% on average. This was influenced mostly by increase in prices of: actual rentals paid by tenants and other actual rentals; accommodation services; milk, cheese and eggs; vegetables; other appliances, articles and products for personal care; maintenance and repair of personal transport equipment; solid fuels; meat. Consumer prices in period January-December 2022 compared to the same period of previous year, were higher for 13.0% in average.
Observing the main groups by purpose of consumption, in December 2022 as compared to November 2022, monthly increase of prices was noticed in the following groups: Restaurants and hotels (2.0%); Miscellaneous goods and services (1.4%); Housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels (1.3%); Food and non-alcoholic beverages (0.4%); Recreation and culture (0.4%); Health (0.1%), while decrease of prices was recorded in the following groups: Transport (-2.9%); Clothing and footwear (-1.3%); Alcoholic beverages and tobacco (-0.2%).
Prices of other products and services mostly remained unchanged.
