Primary production of coal in Montenegro in 2022 was 1 722.5 thousand tonnes of lignite.

Total final consumption of coal in 2022 was 22.8 thousand tonnes, 8.3 thousand tonnes consumed in industry, while 14.5 thousand tonnes consumed in other sectors. For electricity production, as transformation input was used 1 456.6 thousand tonnes of lignite.
