In the third quarter of 2024 there was a decrease in the slaughter of cattle in slaughterhouses in Montenegro. Number of slaughtered cattle is 7 852 or 10.2 % less than in the third quarter of 2023. The net weight of slaughtered cattle in the second quarter of 2023 decreased by 5.1 %.

The total number of slaughtered sheep in the third quarter of 2024 decreased by 1.7 % compared to the third quarter 2023. The total number of slaughtered pigs is two times higher compared to the same quarter of 2023, while the total number of slaughtered poultry increased by 20.8 %.
