The total fish catch in rivers, lakes, and fishponds in 2011 is 800 tonnes, and it is higher for 49.8% in comparison with 2010, when there were 534 tonnes of fish caught. Out of the total fish catch in 2011, the production of trout is the largest, i.e. 353 tonnes, what makes 44.1% of the total caught fish in rivers, lakes, and fishponds.
Additionally, there occurred an increase in the exploitation of trout fishponds in 2011, i.e. 16.9%, in comparison with 2010. Production of fish in carp fishponds in Montenegro was not recorded.
The quantity of foods consumption in 2011 is 438 825 kg, and it increased for 26.2% in comparison with 2010.
