Volume of water abstracted from all water resources in Montenegro in 2011 was109 449 thousands m³, and in comparison with 2008 they increased by 2.7%.
In 2011, the volume of water consumed in Montenegro 2011 was 49 677 thousands m³, which indicates a decrease of 0.3% compared with 2008.
Water abstractions mainly from groundwater and spring water sources and this percentage was 80.8% in 2011, the lowest water volume was obtained from surface sources, i.e. 2.4%, while there was 16.8% of water abstraction from other water supply systems.
Losses of water in 2011 when compared with 2008 increased 5.3%, with 59 772 thousands m³ of water volume.
The length of public water supply system for the observed period of three years, i.e. (2008-2011) increased by 5.4%.
