This release contains data received through the Labour Force Survey conducted in the third quarter 2012, and the observation period was from July to September 2012. The surveying was done in 2 048 households on the territory of Montenegro. The survey collected data about demographic characteristics for members of the households (6 226 persons were surveyed), and data about economic activity for persons aged 15 and more (5 114 persons, which makes 1.2% of the total number of interwied persons aged 15 and more).
According to data for third quarter in the 2012 labor force in Montenegro consist of 260.5 thousands of active population. From that number there were: 211.6 thousand employees and 48.9 thousands unemployed. The number of employees in comparison with the previous quarter has increased 7.6% and  the number of unemployed has decreased  0.4% . The activity rate for the third quarter 2012 is 52.0%, the employment rate is 42.2% and unemployment rate is 18.8%. Measures of the activity of the population for 15-64 age group are: the activity rate is 60.7%, the employment rate is 49.1% and the unemployment rate is 19.1%.
