During the year, 8 cinemas were in function in Montenegro. Only one of them working independently, and the rest, within other cultural institutions.

In total, 430 films were shown, 13 short films and 417 feature films, which is for 23.6% more when compared to 2011. Number of cinema visitors increased for 52.7% in comparison with previous year, when that number was 240 673.

The income generated from cinema shows in 2012 was EUR 782 941, which is an increase of 61.6% compared with the year 2011.

Total capacity of cinemas is 3 625 seats, 24 projectors, 18 of them being produced between 1963 and 1982. Number of employees in cinemas is 52.
