This release presents the data on reported, accused and convicted adult persons – perpetrators of crime.

In 2012 there were 5 610 reported known perpetrators of crime, showing a increase of 10.8% compared to 2011. The share of women is 13.5%. The number of unknown perpetrators of crime is 2 303, i.e. 29.1%.

Number of accused persons compared to the previous year decreased for 17.8%, and number of convicted persons decreased 16.9%. The share of accused adult women is 8.1%. and convicted adult women, 7.5%.

In most frequent crimes against property, in 2012, share of reported is 22.3%, share of accused is 24.1%, and share of convicted persons is 24.2%.
