Monthly survey on wholesale and retail trade of motor vehicles and motorcycles is conducted on the basis of the Law on Official Statistics and Official Statistical System "Official Gazette of Montenegro 18/12".

Purpose of survey
Monthly survey on wholesale and retail trade of motor vehicles and motorcycles collects the data on the turnover in wholesale and retail trade of motor vehicles and motorcycles. The data collected are used for monitoring volume and dynamics in the turnover of motor vehicles and motorcycles, analysis of effects of trade policy measures and analysing the total economy trends.
Coverage of survey
The data are collected from a sample of reporting units representing trends in the total turnover of goods. Thus, the results obtained on the basis of sample represent a monthly estimation of achieved turnover of goods in the retail trade of motor vehicles and motorcycles in Montenegro. The sample frame covers all companies (enterprises) with the main activity in trade and classified within Central Register of Commercial Court by activity classification in Area 45.

The data source is all companies (enterprises) with the main activity in trade and classified within Central Register of Commercial Court by activity classification in Area 45.
Obligation to protect individual data
The results obtained by annual survey are published at the aggregated level, disabling the data on individual companies to be presented.
