Legal basis
Legal basis for conducting statistical surveys in the area of social protection is Law on Official Statistics and Official Statistical System of Montenegro (Official Gazette of Montenegro 18/12).

Purpose of survey
Purpose of survey on users of material benefits, social and child protection is to provide the data on users by type of material benefits, social and child protection.
Data sources and coverage
From 2016 the data provided for this survey were obtained through annual Report on Work of the Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare of Montenegro and refer to the average monthly number of users of material support ,child support, personal disability allowance and care and support allowance for one year.
By 2015, data on users of social protection are obtained through statistical reports from Social Work Centers, as it follows - minor users of social protection (form SZ-1a) and adult users of social protection (form SZ-1b).
Obligation to protect individual data
The data obtained from reporting units are only used for statistical purposes, and they are published at the aggregated level.
