Household consumption

The domain includes data from three surveys, namely the Household Budget Survey, the Minimum Consumer Basket, and the Absolute Poverty Line.

The results of the Household Budget Survey represents data on the available and used assets, which is harmonized with international standards and recommendations of EUROSTAT and the UN and that provides comparability at international level.

The Minimum Consumer Basket survey refers to determinate the value of minimal basket for household of four-member, to meet minimum needs including food and non-food products and services, based on the consumption recorded by households in the Household Budget Survey.

Main data source for calculating the absolute poverty line, until 2014 was the Household Budget Survey. Main indicator of living standards was consumption of household. The aim of the study was to provide data on absolute poverty using the World Bank methodology, based on consumption.
