Consumer price index (CPI) November 2013


Monthly deflation in November was -0.6%

Monthly deflation measured by Consumer price index was -0.6% in November, while the consumer prices compared to the same month of previous year remained at the same level. This was influenced mostly by the decrease in prices of: bread and cereals; fruit, vegetables; oils and fats; accommodation services etc.

When observing the main groups monthly drop of prices was noticed in the following groups: Food and non-alcoholic beverages (-1.3%); Miscellaneous goods and services (-1.3%); Restaurants and hotels (-0.6%); Recreation and culture (-0.5%); Furnishing, household equipment and routine household maintenance (-0.3%); Communications (-0.1%), while a growth of prices is recorded in groups: Clothing and footwear (+0.4%); Housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels (+0.2%). Prices in the groups: Alcoholic beverages and tobacco; Health; Transport; Education remained at the same level as in the previous month.

Positive annual inflation rates in November were observed in the following groups: Alcoholic beverages and tobacco (+7.4%); Miscellaneous goods and services (+3.1%); Housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels (+2.1%); Health (+1.5%); Education (+0.2%); Hotels and restaurants (+0.1%), while negative annual inflation rates were observed in the following groups: Recreation and culture (-2.9%); Transport (-2.8%); Food and non-alcoholic beverages (-0.8%); Furnishing, household equipment and routine household maintenance (-0.8%); Clothing and footwear (-0.6%); Communications (-0.6%).
