The average earnings (gross) in Montenegro in January 2014 are 726 Euro, while the average earnings without taxes and contributions (net) are 478 Euro. In comparison with December 2013, the average earnings without taxes and contributions (net) in January 2014 decreased 1.6%.The average earnings without taxes and contributions (net) in January 2014 compared to January 2013  decreased 2.4%, while they decreased 0.2% compared to the average monthly earnings without taxes and contributions (net) in 2013. Having in mind that consumer prices in January 2014 comparing to December 2013 decreased 0.8%, the results is that real earnings without taxes and contributions (net) in the same period decreased 0.9 %.

At the sector level the average earnings without taxes and contributions (net) in January 2014 compared to December 2013 increased in the following sectors:Administrative and support service activities (13.2%), Mining and quarring (8.5%), Arts, entertainment and recreation (8.2%), Electrity gas, steam, and air conditioning supply (8.0%), Agriculture, forestry and fishing (2.9%), Human health and social work activities (2.7%), Public administration and defence, compulsory social security ( 1.2%), while there was a decrease in the following sectors: Real estate activities (25.7%), Information and communication (21.9%), Financial and insurance activities (16.3%), Accomodation and food service activities (15.8%), Other service activities (11.4%), Construction (9.2%), Water supply, sewerage,waste management and remedation activities (4.7%), Professional, scientific and tehnical activities ( 3.1%), Wholesale and retail trade, repair of motor vehicles and motor recycles (2.4%), Transportation and storage (1.8%), Education (1.8%), Manufacturing (0.4%).
