According to data for third quarter in the 2014 labor force in Montenegro consist of 266.9 thousands of active population. From that number there were: 223.2 thousand employees or 83.6%; unemployed 43.7 thousands or 16.4%. The number of employees in comparison with the previous quarter has increased 2.1% and the number of unemployed has decreased 11.7%.

The activity rate for the second quarter 2014 is 53.3%, the employment rate is 44.0% and unemployment rate is 16.4%.

Measures of the activity of the population for 15-64 age group are: the activity rate is 62.5%, the employment rate is 52.1% and the unemployment rate is 16.6%.
