Secondary schools and schools for children with special educational needs Beginning of school year 2014/2015

In secondary schools in Montenegro at the beginning of school year 2014/2015 there were 29 223 enrolment of pupils; of those 14 119 are women, i.e. 48.3%.

The number of pupils enrolled in secondary schools decreased for 6.5% compared with the previous school year, while the number of pupils enrolled in the first grade of school is lower for 4.8%.

The highest number of secondary school pupils is in Podgorica, 32%, while there are only 1.6% of the total number of secondary school pupils, in Andrijevica, Savnik, Pluzine, and Zabljak.

Observing the field of study, there are 9 637 pupils or 33% in gymnasium; economy, law, and administration 4 757 or 16.3%; trade, hotels, and tourism 4 508 or 15.4%; while other fields of study makes 35.3%.

In resource centres for children with special educational needs, in Montenegro, 141 pupils were enrolled at the begining of school year 2014/2015, 44.7% of them being girls.
