Monthly inflation in June was 0.1%

Monthly inflation measured by Consumer price index was 0.1% in June 2015, while the annual inflation was 1.9%, down from 2.3% in May. This was influenced mostly by the increase in prices of: fruit; accommodation services; fuels and lubricants; restaurants, cafés and the like; milk, cheese and eggs; oils and fats etc. Consumer prices in period January-June 2015 compared to the same period of the previous year were higher for 1.5%.

When observing the main groups monthly growth of prices was noticed in the following groups: Restaurants and hotels (6.8%); Furnishing, household equipment and routine household maintenance (0.8%), Transport (0.4%); Recreation and culture (0.2%), while a drop of prices was recorded in groups: Clothing and footwear (-0.6%); Food and non-alcoholic beverages (-0.3%); Communication (-0.1%). Prices of other products and services mostly remained unchanged.

Positive annual inflation rates in June were observed in the following groups: Restaurants and hotels (4.2%); Alcoholic beverages and tobacco (3.4%); Recreation and culture (3.0%); Clothing and footwear (2.7%); Health (2.7%); Food and non-alcoholic beverages (2.4%); Housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels (2.3%); Furnishing, household equipment and routine household maintenance (0.7%); Miscellaneous goods and services (0.1%), while negative annual inflation rate was observed in group Transport (-0.7%).
