Consumer price index (CPI) October 2015

Monthly inflation measured by Consumer price index was -0.1% in October 2015, while the annual inflation was 1.5%. This was influenced mostly by decrease in prices of: fruit; vegetables; accommodation services; milk, cheese and eggs; fuels and lubricatns etc. Consumer prices in period January-October 2015 compared to the same period of the previous year were higher for 1.6%.
 
Observing the main groups monthly drop of prices was noticed in the following groups: Restaurants and hotels (-3.7%); Food and non-alcoholic beverages (-0.9%); Miscellaneous goods and services (-0.5%); Transport (-0.2%), while a growth of prices was recorded in the following groups: Clothing and footwear (5.0%); Alcoholic beverages and tobacco (0.1%); Housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels (0.1%); Communications (0,1%). Prices of other products and services mostly remained unchanged.
 

Positive annual inflation rates in October were observed in the following groups: Clothing and footwear (4.7%); Restaurants and hotels (4.1%); Alcoholic beverages and tobacco (3.2%); Food and non-alcoholic beverages (2.5%); Health (2.1%); Housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels (1.2%); Furnishing, household equipment and routine household maintenance (1.0%); Recreation and culture (0.4%), while negative annual inflation rates were observed in groups: Transport (-2.9%); Miscellaneous goods and services (-0.5%).
