Livestock slaughtering in slaughterhouses in March 2016

In March 2016 compared to March 2015, the total number of cattle in slaughterhouses decreased by 11.8% and the net decreased weight by 13.2%. The total number of slaughtered sheep increased (by 11.5% and net weight increased by 7.4%), pigs decreased (by 94.2% and net weight of 93.4%) compared to the same period in 2015.
 
In comparison with the previous month, the total number of slaughtered cattle decreased (by 3.3%, a net weight by 7%). As far as sheep’s, the total number of slaughtered animals is biger (by 26.3% and net weight of 5.1%), pigs are lower (by 60%, but net weight is biger of 27.3%).
 
Compared to the monthly average in 2015, in March 2016, fewer cattle slaughtered in total (by 25.6% a net weight of 29.1%), sheep total (by 68.3% and net weight of 71.5%) and pigs (by 95.2% and net weight of 90.7%).
 

The number of slaughtered poultry decreased by 6.4%, a net weight by 5.7% compared with the same month last year. Compared with the previous month, the total number of slaughtered poultry decreased (by 40.8% and net weight of 37.5%), while compared to the actual monthly average in 2015, the number of slaughtered poultry decreased by (3.8%, the net weight of 3.2%).
