Average earnings (wages) May 2016

The average earnings (gross) in Montenegro in May 2016 are 752 Euro, while the average earnings without taxes and contributions (net) are 500 Euro. In comparison with April 2016, the average earnings without taxes and contributions (net) in May 2016 increased 0.2%. The average earnings without taxes and contributions (net) in May 2016 compared to May 2015 increased 4.2%, while they also increased 4.2% compared to the average monthly earnings without taxes and contributions (net) in 2015. Having in mind that consumer prices in May 2016 comparing to April 2016 increased 0.2%, the results is that real earnings without taxes and contributions (net) in the same period stayed on same level.
 

At the sector level the average earnings without taxes and contributions (net) in May 2016 compared to April 2016 increased in the following sectors: Arts, entertainment and recreation (4.0%), Construction (3.8%), Human health and social work activities (2.9%), Water supply, sewerage, waste management and remedation activities (2.5%), Agriculture, forestry and fishing (1.8%), Transportation and storage (1.8%), Administrative and support service activities (1.6%), Public administration and defence, compulsory social security (1.1%), Mining and quarrying (0.9%), Wholesale and retail sale (0.6%), Education (0.2%), while there was a decrease in the following sectors: Electricy, gas, steam and air conditioning supply (6.1%), Other service activities (4.5%), Manufacturing (3.5%), Real estate activities (1.7%), Financial and insurance activities (1.2%), Information and comunications (1.0%) and Profesional, scientific and tehnical activities (0.5%).
