Harmonised Index of Consumer Prices (HICP) July 2016

 Monthly inflation in July 2016 mesaured by HICP was 0.6%

 
Consumer prices in Montenegro, measured by HICP, in July 2016 increased by 0,6% at the average as compared to June 2016. Consumer prices in July 2016 decreased by 0,2%, as compared to July 2015. This was influenced mostly by increase in prices of: accommodation services; restaurants, cafes and the like; meat; milk, cheese and eggs; bread and cereals; passenger transport by road; fruit; school textbooks; fish and seafood etc.
 
Observing the main groups, monthly growth of prices was noticed in the following groups: Restaurants and hotels (4.4%); Recreation and culture (0.3%); Miscellaneous goods and services (0.2%); Alcoholic beverages and tobacco (0.1%), while a monthly drop of prices was recorded in groups: Clothing and footwear (-1.6%); Food and non-alcoholic beverages (-0.3%); Furnishing, household equipment and routine household maintenance (-0.2%); Transport (-0.2%).
 
Prices of other products and services mostly remained unchanged.
 
Positive annual inflation rates in July 2016 were observed in the following groups: Clothing and footwear (2.6%); Alcoholic beverages and tobacco (2.4%); Health (2.1%); Restaurants and Hotels (1.9%); Communications (0.5%); Recreation and culture (0.1%), while negative annual inflation rates were observed in the following groups: Transport (-6.0%); Furnishing, household equipment and routine household maintenance (-1.2%); Miscellaneous goods and services (-1.1%); Housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels (-0.9%); Food and non-alcoholic beverages (-0.5%).
