Livestock slaughtering in slaughterhouses in August 2016

In August 2016 compared to August 2015, the total number of cattle in slaughterhouses decreased (by 20.1% and the net decreased weight by 9.2%). The total number of slaughtered sheep decreased (by 8.7% and net weight decreased by 16.2%), pigs decreased (by 53.6% and net weight of 86.9%) compared to the same period in 2015.
In comparison with the previous month, the total number of slaughtered cattle decreased by 1.6% (net weight increased by 3%). As far as sheep’s, the total number of slaughtered animals is bigger by 3% (net weight of 0.3%), total number of pigs is bigger by 34.5% ( a net weight bigger of 27.8%).
Compared to the monthly average in 2015, in August 2016, less cattle slaughtered in total (by 8.6% a net weight bigger by 0.4%), sheep total less (by 8.8% and net weight of 16%) and pigs less (by 71.8% and net weight of 85.1%).
The number of slaughtered poultry decreased by 57.7%, a net weight decreased by 51.6% compared with the same month last year. Compared with the previous month, the total number of slaughtered poultry is decreased by 46%, a net weight decreased by 40%, while compared to the actual monthly average in 2015, the number of slaughtered poultry decreased by (48%, the net weight decreased of 41.9%).
