Livestock slaughtering in slaughterhouses in January 2017

In January 2017 compared to January 2016, the total number of cattle in slaughterhouses decreased (by 8% and the net increased weight by 4.3%). The total number of slaughtered sheep decreased (by 22.1% and net weight decreased by 35.4%), pigs increased (by 11.5% and net weight of 1.8%) compared to the same period in 2016.
 
In comparison with the previous month, the total number of slaughtered cattle decreased by 23.3% (net weight decreased by 24.1%). As far as sheep’s, the total number of slaughtered animals is less by 14.2% (net weight less by 11.5%), total number of pigs is less by 58.1% (a net weight also less by 59.4%).
 
Compared to the monthly average in 2016 with January 2017, number of slaughtered cattle is less in total (by 21.7% a net weight less by 18.4%), sheep total less (by 40% and net weight of 39.8%) and pigs bigger (by 76.7% and net weight bigger of 49.3%).
 

The number of slaughtered poultry increased by 6.4%, a net weight increased by 23.5% compared with the same month last year. Compared with the previous month, the total number of slaughtered poultry decreased by 24.6%, a net weight decreased by 8%, while compared to the actual monthly average in 2016, the number of slaughtered poultry decreased by (16.9%, the net weight decreased of 2.1%).
