External trade in goods of Montenegro January-February 2017

The total external trade in goods of Montenegro for period January-February 2017 is EUR 304.2 million, indicating the growth of 34.9% in comparison with the previous year.
 
The value of exports of goods was 50.3 million EUR, and import was 253.9 million EUR. Compared with the same period of 2016, imports increased 17.1%, and exports increased 30.1%.
 
The coverage of import by export was 19.8% and it was higher compared to the coverage for the same period of previous year (17.8%).
 
In the structure of exports, in accordance with the Standard International Trade Classification (SITC), the most present products were Manufactured goods classified chiefly by material (Section 6), in amount of EUR 14.6 million (consisted of: Non-ferrous metals - EUR 11.3 million, and Iron and steel - EUR 2.1 million).
 
In the structure of imports, in accordance with the SITC, the most present products were Machinery and transport equipment (Section 7) with EUR 55.6 million (consisted of: Road vehicles - EUR 17.4 million, and Electrical machinery, apparatus and appliances - EUR 10.3 million).
 
Main trading partners in exports on an individual basis were: Serbia (EUR 8.8 million) Bosnia and Herzegovina (EUR 6.7 million) and Hungary (EUR 3.1 million).
 

Main trading partners in imports on an individual basis were: Serbia (EUR 56 million), China (EUR 24.4 million), and Germany (EUR 21.3 million). The highest external trade was with CEFTA parties and the EU member states.
