Transport of passengers in the second quarter of 2017, compared to the same quarter of the previous year increased to road transport by 0.6%, local road for 6.0%, the carriage of passengers at airports by 26.8 %, while the decrease registered in rail transport for 20.3%, in the scheduled air transport for 6.3% and non scheduled air for 13.9%.
The transport of goods in the second quarter of 2017, compared to the same quarter last year increase was recorded in rail transport for 41.0% and in total turnover of goods in ports by 15.2%, while the decrease registered in transport of goods on the airports for 5.0%.
Number of trans-shipment tonnes in the ports in the second quarter of 2017, compared to the same quarter of the previous year increased by 42.6%, at the manipulated tonnes by 2.9%.
Number of minutes in fixed telecommunication in the second quarter of 2017 compared to the same quarter of the previous year decreased by 18.3% at the minutes of mobile telephony by 0.7%.
Number of injury accidents on roads in the second quarter 2017 totaled 1 477 which is 22.4% more than the same quarter of the 2016. Number of casualies1in the second quarter 2017 amounted to 725 (of which 699 injuries), which is 18.5% more than the same quarter 2016.
Number of registered road motor vehicles and trailers in the second quarter 2017 is 61 619 which is a increase of 9.6% in comparison with the same quarter of previous year. Number of first time registered road motor vehicles and trailers in the second quarter 2017 is 6 445, which is a increase of 17.2% in comparison with the same quater of previous year.
In the second quarter of 2017 road goods motor vehicles transported a 207 thousands tons of goods and performed 28 106 thousand tonne-kilometers. Kilometres travelled by loaded vehicles was 1 077 thousands kilometres. In the structure of transported goods, national transport participates with 87.4% or 181 thousands tons of goods, while international transport participates with 12.6%, or 26 thousands tons of goods. In the structure of performed tonne-kilometers internal transport participates with 68.9% or 19 363 thousands tonne-kilometers and international transport with 31.1% or 8 743 thousands tonne-kilometers.
