External trade in goods of Montenegro January 2018

The total external trade in goods of Montenegro for month January 2018 is EUR 145.9 million, indicating the growth of 16.2% in comparison with the previous year.
 
The value of exports of goods was 25.6 million EUR, and import was 120.3 million EUR. compared with the same period of 2016, exports increased 5.8%, and imports increased 18.7%.
 
The coverage of import by export was 21.3% and it was lower compared to the coverage for the same period of previous year (23.9%).
 
In the structure of exports, in accordance with the Standard International Trade Classification (SITC), the most present products were Manufactured goods classified chiefly by material (Section 6), in amount of EUR 9.5 million (consisted of: Non-ferrous metals - EUR 6.9 million, and Iron and steel - EUR 1.9 million).
 
In the structure of imports, in accordance with the SITC, the most present products were Machinery and transport equipment (Section 7) with EUR 27.6 million (consisted of: Road vehicles - EUR 7.9 million, Electrical machinery, apparatus and appliances - EUR 6.2 million).
 
Main trading partners in exports on an individual basis were: Serbia (EUR 5.6 million) Turkey (EUR 3.9 million) and Hungary (EUR 3.6 million).
 

Main trading partners in imports on an individual basis were: Serbia (EUR 20.9 million), China (EUR 12.2 million) and Germany (EUR 9.9 million). The highest external trade was with CEFTA parties and the EU member states.
