External trade in goods of Montenegro January-February 2018

The total external trade in goods of Montenegro for period January-February 2018 is EUR 336.7 million, indicating the growth of 9.9% in comparison with the previous year.
 
The value of exports of goods was 55.6 million EUR, and import was 281.1 million EUR. compared with the same period of 2016, exports increased 9.7%, and imports increased 10%.
 
The coverage of import by export was 19.8% and it was equal compared to the coverage for the same period of previous year (19.8%).
 
In the structure of exports, in accordance with the Standard International Trade Classification (SITC), the most present products were Manufactured goods classified chiefly by material (Section 6), in amount of EUR 17.5 million (consisted of: Non-ferrous metals - EUR 12 million, and Iron and steel - EUR 3.9 million).
 
In the structure of imports, in accordance with the SITC, the most present products were Machinery and transport equipment (Section 7) with EUR 70.8 million (consisted of: Road vehicles - EUR 23.3 million, Electrical machinery, apparatus and appliances - EUR 15.7 million).
 
Main trading partners in exports on an individual basis were: Serbia (EUR 12.4 million) Hungary (EUR 6.8 million) and Turkey (EUR 4.7 million).
 

Main trading partners in imports on an individual basis were: Serbia (EUR 49.3 million), China (EUR 27.8 million) and Germany (EUR 24.1 million). The highest external trade was with CEFTA parties and the EU member states.
