External trade in goods of Montenegro January-March 2018

The total external trade in goods of Montenegro for period January-March 2018 is EUR 595.8 million, indicating the growth of 10.6% in comparison with the previous year.
 
The value of exports of goods was 93.9 million EUR, and import was 502 million EUR. compared with the same period of 2017, exports increased 14.2%, and imports increased 10%.
 
The coverage of import by export was 18.7% and it was higher compared to the coverage for the same period of previous year (18%).
 
In the structure of exports, in accordance with the Standard International Trade Classification (SITC), the most present products were Manufactured goods classified chiefly by material (Section 6), in amount of EUR 27.8 million (consisted of: Non-ferrous metals - EUR 19 million, and Iron and steel - EUR 5.8 million).
 
In the structure of imports, in accordance with the SITC, the most present products were Machinery and transport equipment (Section 7) with EUR 146.3 million (consisted of: Road vehicles - EUR 40.4 million, Electrical machinery, apparatus and appliances - EUR 28.8 million).
 
Main trading partners in exports on an individual basis were: Serbia (EUR 21.2 million) Hungary (EUR 11 million) and Turkey (EUR 6.7 million).
 

Main trading partners in imports on an individual basis were: Serbia (EUR 86.5 million), China (EUR 70.4 million) and Germany (EUR 43.2 million). The highest external trade was with CEFTA parties and the EU member states.
