External trade in goods of Montenegro January - October 2018

The total external trade in goods of Montenegro for period January-October 2018 according to preliminary results is 2 461 million EUR, indicating the growth of 12,4% in comparison with the same period for previous year.
 
The value of exports of goods was 324,4 million EUR, and import was 2 136,6 million EUR. Compared with the same period of 2017, exports increased 6 %, and imports increased 13,4 %.
 
The coverage of import by export was 15,2 % and it was lower compared to the coverage for the same period of previous year (16,2 %).
 
In the structure of exports, in accordance with the Standard International Trade Classification (SITC), the most present products were Manufactured goods classified chiefly by material (Section 6), in amount of 93,3 million EUR (consisted of: Non-ferrous metals- 64,6 million EUR, Iron and steel – 16,4 million EUR and other).
 
In the structure of imports, in accordance with the SITC, the most present products were Machinery and transport equipment (Section 7) with 535,5 million EUR (consisted of: Road vehicles – 151,6 million EUR, Electrical machinery, apparatus and appliances– 106,9 million EUR and other).
 
Main trading partners in exports on an individual basis were: Serbia (EUR 73,1 million EUR) Hungary (40,9 million EUR) and Bosnia and Herzegovina (25 million EUR).
 

Main trading partners in imports on an individual basis were: Serbia (411,8 million EUR), China (220,1 million EUR) and Germany (189,5 million EUR). The highest external trade was with CEFTA parties and the EU member states.
